We are visiting our son (we are from Edmonton) and he lives here. We found you on the internet and ordered via online. We were very happy with your food and delivery.
We watched a movie while we ate and had a wonderful visit.

We are long time purple garden enthusiasts (10+ years). However on Mother’s Day, they turned their phones off due to high volumes of calls. We decided to order online. In the notes section, I noted that since we were picking it up, we would expect the chicken chow mein as the bonus. Our order is always around $100. When my husband went to pick it up after 50 minutes, when online said 20 minutes, he was told there would be no chow mein. Online ordering doesn’t afford you that perk. They did not offer it to him once there (there in a customer service response) either. I called once he got home, and a very young and quite hostile young lady on the phone told me they turned their phones off and online ordering has no pick up bonus.; that’s just how it was - and maybe I should’ve read the online information more closely.
Had she been sympathetic, had she said “I understand we were just so busy I’m so sorry ma’am”, things would’ve gone differently.
As it was I didn’t get my favourite dish, I paid the same amount without a bonus (and when I paid online, I did include a nice tip), and we also picked it up, after 50 minutes (and could we could have had it delivered for the same price and amount of time!) instead of 20 minutes (as noted before I hit ‘complete order). We will not be going back.
